High Speed Electric Motors
Speed of a motor may be the magnitude of the rotational velocity of the electric motor shaft. In a motion application, quickness of the motor dictates how fast the axis rotates - the amount of full revolutions per unit period. Applications vary within their speed requirement, depending on what is being shifted and the coordination with the other components of the device. A balance must be achieved between swiftness and torque, as motors typically generate much less torque when run at higher speeds.
We address rate requirements during our design Auto Chain procedure by creating an the best possible coil (referred to as windings) and magnet configurations. In a few styles, the coil rotates based on motor building. Creating a motor design that eliminates the iron being combined with coil results in higher speeds. The inertia of the high swiftness motors is decreased dramatically, raising the acceleration (responsiveness) as well. In some styles the magnet rotates with the shaft. Since the magnet may be the contributing aspect for the engine inertia, creating a different style from a typical cylindrical magnet is necessary. Lowering the inertia drives higher swiftness in addition to acceleration.
Ever-power offers designed high velocity motors for our brushless DC and brush DC technology, with self-supporting high-density rotor coils. The ironless nature of brush DC coils permits both high acceleration and higher speeds, especially compared to brush DC motors with an iron-core style. Portescap offers a unique series of stage motors, the disc magnet series, which have a slim disc magnet instead of a cylindrical magnet. By decreasing the inertia of the motors, we are able to achieve boosts to 10,000 rpm with a step engine, unparalleled in the market.
